GETTING HERE

By Air
Mazatlan International Airport is located 12 miles (19km) outside of town. There are two ways into town: a private taxi, which costs about US$16, or colectivo, which costs about US$5 per person. (prices are aproximate).

Several airlines fly into the Mazatlan International Airport including AeroCalifornia, Aeromexico, Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines, and Mexicana Airlines.

By Car
You can drive to Mazatlan on 4 lane toll roads from Nogales, Arizona, in the United States (about 750 miles or 1206km).

GETTING AROUND

Bus
A bus ride in Mazatlan is very easy and inexpensive, they run at 10- to 15-minute intervals and cover the full distance or any portion of the strip from Camaron Sabalo to Old Mazatlan. You pay the driver at boarding, the curent fee (march 09) is 8.00 pesos, about 55 cents US. for the larger air-conditioned buses. Sabalo Centro will take you from Mazatlan‘s Golden Zone to the Benito Juarez Market. Bus service runs between 5:30 am to around 10:30 pm Pulmonia


These open-air taxis similar to a fancy golf-cart are unique to Mazatlan and you can find them everywhere . Before getting in, ask for the price... A pulmonia is a also a great way to get a private city tour (you can hire them by the hour) Fares will range between 40 to 100 pesos depending on what part of the city you‘re going.

Taxi
Are tipically less than a pulmonia, and readilly available as well. You may call their service number to arrange for a specific pick-up.
